{"id":849,"date":"2025-03-04T22:20:45","date_gmt":"2025-03-04T22:20:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.madischu.com\/?p=849"},"modified":"2025-03-04T22:20:45","modified_gmt":"2025-03-04T22:20:45","slug":"osteoporosis-herbs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.life360coach.com\/index.php\/2025\/03\/04\/osteoporosis-herbs\/","title":{"rendered":"Osteoporosis Herbs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Herbs that prevent osteoporosis and strengthen the bones are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stinging nettle leaf<\/li>\n<li>Horsetail herb<\/li>\n<li>Alfalfa herb<\/li>\n<li>Dandelion leaf<\/li>\n<li>Oat straw<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tip: Add black pepper to your food to enhance the absorption of nutrients.<\/p>\n<p>These herbs help remineralize bones in osteoporosis and help heal\u00a0bone fractures.<br \/>\nAny degeneration in the joints, hips, or vertebrae and, in general, all bone tissue benefit from these powerful herbs&#8217; vitamins, minerals, and bioactive substances.<br \/>\nIt is an excellent supportive therapy for osteoarthritis, frequent dental caries, and tooth enamel integrity.<\/p>\n<p>These herbs are rich in minerals: calcium, magnesium, potassium, and silica, as well as trace elements, including boron.<br \/>\nSilica has been shown to be a cofactor of calcium absorption, increasing bone density.<br \/>\nHorsetail, which contains silica, has long been used for strengthening bones, hair, skin, and nails.<br \/>\nIt also stimulates the maturation of osteoblasts.<br \/>\nOatstraw and stinging nettle are also traditionally used for strengthening the bones, skin, and fingernails.<\/p>\n<p>Contraindications: \u00a0pregnancy lactation or autoimmune diseases like lupus.<br \/>\nConsult your physician before taking any product.<\/p>\n<p>Consume foods rich in absorbable calcium, such as dark green leafy vegetables, cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts), carrots, sweet potatoes, nuts and seeds, fish, and dairy products.<br \/>\nThe use of vegetable oils and excessive consumption of saturated fats, sodium, and phosphorus found in carbonated drinks are calcium antagonists.<\/p>\n<p>To increase bone density:<br \/>\n&#8211; Lead an active life. Move at least 3 miles a day. Lift some weights every day or do weight resistance training 2-3 times a week, with a day off in between. Building muscle tells the bone to build bone mass so it can support the bulkier muscle.<br \/>\n&#8211; eat a varied diet rich in colorful vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and legumes.<\/p>\n<p>Stay away from processed foods &#8211; anything that has more than 4 ingredients or ingredients that you can;t pronounce.<br \/>\nNo junk food! I refer to food that contains little to no fiber but is full of toxic fats from vegetable oils, refined salt and sugar,<br \/>\nlab-made chemicals for flavor (natural or artificial) preservatives, and dyes<br \/>\nStay away from synthetic sugar substitutes. Eat raw honey, raw sugar, or blackstrap molasses, moderately<\/p>\n<p>Include mineral-rich herbs like parsley, cilantro, dill, and seaweed in your diet<\/p>\n<p>Cholesterol has an important role in good bone density &amp; preventing osteoporosis.<br \/>\nOur body absorbs only about 25% of the cholesterol from food.
